Mrs. Bettie Mae Hall, 93 of Eden, NC passed Monday, December 8, 2025. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at True Light Temple of Deliverance Church, 7490 Hwy #770, Eden, NC with the service beginning at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Hairston Family Cemetery, 179 Shady Grove Rd., Eden, NC.
Public viewing will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Eden, NC
Mother Bettie Mae Settle Hall entered eternal rest on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the blessed age of 93. Born on May 25, 2932, in Rockingham Count, North Carolina, to the late Henry and Minnie Settle, se lived a life marked by kindness, faith and unwavering devotion to her family and to God.
She was a faithful member of True Light temple of Deliverance Church in Eden, North Carolina, where she served the Lord with humility and steadfastness. Her gentle spirit, warm hospitality and love for her family were evident in every part of her life.
One of her greatest joys was cooking for her loved ones. He home was a place of warmth, laughter and comfort – a true gathering place for generations.
She was united in holy matrimony to Overseer Roy Hall and together they shared 48 years of love, commitment and partnership.
She was preceded in death by four siblings; Jesse, William, Robert and Minnie and her children; William Bernard Scales and Sarah Wilkerson.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Her husband; Overseer Roy Hall of the home. Siblings; Annie Martin, Frank Settle and Joseph Settle. Her loving children; Lee Scales (Vanessa), Arthur Scales (Margie), Linda Scales, Thomas Scales (Sherllie), Charles Scales (Marilyn), Remona Scales, Rowena Scales, Lisa Slade (Anthony), Darlene Hall, Roy Hall, Jr. (Annette), Rosalyn Hall (Tonjua) Robert Stimpson (Angela). children; Elizabeth Tucker and Callie Janda, grandchildren; Marcus, Ryan, Randy, Monique, Michael, Stephanie, Joshua, Alton, Jerome and Charles. Seventeen great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and a host of other family members.
Mother Bettie Mae Scales lived a beautiful, faith-filled life. She leaves behind a legacy of love, prayer, strength and devotion that will continue to shine through her family for generations. Though her absence will be deeply felt, her loved ones rejoice knowing she is now resting safely in the arms of the Lord.
