Bobby Lyons, Jr., 60 of Madison, NC died Sunday, August 9, 2020. Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2020 at Mary D. Perry Memorial Chapel, Madison, NC.
Early Sunday morning, August 9, 2020 Bobby Gene Lyons, Jr. departed this life to take his eternal rest in glory. Bobby was born to the late Nadine and Bobby Lyons, Sr. on May 27, 1960 in Rockingham County. Bobby was a resident of Eden, NC where he attended Morehead High School and was employed at Fieldcrest Cannon, Eden, NC. He later moved to Madison, NC and became a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church in Stoneville, NC, where he and his longtime life partner attended together faithfully. Bobby was a gentle giant, kind hearted with a big smile. He loved people and his family. You could always find him close to his family, sitting on his daughter’s porch with his granddaughter, Alaina. He was often strolling her to the store or you would see him with the love of his life, Lizzora “Liz” Lowe, walking around town, eating at their favorite places or just visiting with friends & family. He never had an enemy and was always willing to help anyone. He was also preceded in death by his uncle, David Ray Lyons aka “Uncle Tater Bug. He leaves to cherish his memory and to share moments of love and laughter: his daughter; Christie Burton (Jevon), three grandchildren; Jevon, Asia and Alaina Burton, three sisters; Freida T. Winfield (Jerry), Mary Lyons, Melissa Aikers, three brothers; Vincent Aikens, Craig Aikens, Jimmy Lyons (Sharlene), a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Mary and Jimmy my prayers are with you and the family through this.
