Obituary For Bobby Lee Keen

Mr. Bobby Lee Keen, 73, died November 8, 2019. Funeral services will be held 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Axton, VA. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the church. Burial will be held at the church cemetery.

Mr. Bobby Lee Keen was born in Henry County May 29, 1946 to the late Lena and Woodson Keen. He departed this life on Friday, November 8, 2019 at UNC Rockingham Health Care in Eden, NC. Bobby attended Henry County Public Schools. His first job was a bell boy at Holiday Inn in Collinsville, VA, Fieldcrest Mills in Eden, NC and eventually moved to Sara Lee until he became disabled. He was united in marriage March 25, 1967 to Susie Hampton and to this union two children was born. Bobby was a loving and supportive husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He enjoyed spoiling his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and even some of his nephews. He even had a nickname for each of his nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Curtis, Ronnie and James. He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife; Susie of the home, daughter; Sharon Scales of Eden, NC, son; Bobby Keen, Jr. (Tracy)of Martinsville, VA, granddaughter; Qiana Dillard (Jerome) of Eden, NC, grandsons; Julian Scales of Florida, Tristan Keen, Devontae Keen, Shikeese Price all of Martinsville, VA, great grandchildren; Jayden Dillard, Ka’Maya Keen, Kaidyn Keen, Ky’Asia Keen, Aubry Keen, Devontae Keen, Jr., Megan Price, Mason Price, brothers; Robert Keen (Mary)of Axton, VA, Joe Louis Keen (Jackie), Thomas (Ida Bell) Keen all of Ridgeway, VA, sister; Dolly Moyer of Axton, VA, three aunts; Lorene Evans of Roanoke, VA, Viola Noel, Thelma Keen both of Eden, NC, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
