Clady Lou Hillman,75, of Greensboro, NC passed Tuesday, August 16, 2022. The family will receive friends from 2:30 p.m.- 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2022, at Hargett Funeral Services, located at 905 E. Market Street, Greensboro, NC. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 PM.
Ms. Clady Lou Hillman, known to family and friends as “Lou Lou”, was born April 7, 1947, and departed this life on August 16, 2022 at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro, NC after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Olin B. Gainey and Mrs. Lugenia McCoy Gainey.
She was a graduate of Brown Summit High School and attended Cortez Peters Business College, Washington, DC where she received an Associate Degree in Business Administrative. She also worked for the Administration of the Guilford County Schools. Clady was humble and an easygoing person, who was friendly to everyone she met. She enjoyed reading, music and dance. She had a love of performing as a majorette in high school.
Clady was also preceded in death by her sister, Belinda (T.K.) Gainey, brothers, Herbert Franklin Gainey, Sr, Otis Gainey and Joseph Gainey, Sr.
Clady was married and out of the marriage came two children, Amanda Hillman and Lovenzan Hillman (Tiger) both of Greensboro, NC. Four step-children; Pat Hillman of New Jersey, Thomasina Able (Ezell) of Greensboro, NC, Ernie Hillman of Kennesaw, NJ, Judy Hillman of Newark, NJ, one grandchild; Aaliyah Moore of Greensboro, NC, sisters; Sara Gainey Davis, Brenda Faye Green (David); brothers; Burlin Olen “Pete” Gainey, William Richardson Gainey. Along with nieces, nephews and a host of cousins and friends.
