David was fun loving spirit, he never met a stranger and enjoyed his family and extended family. He love his extended family at Heartland living facility and the Pace organization. David was very active with activities such as Spades, art and painting. He really enjoyed “Bingo” every Monday with his daughter and son-in-law. All the residents took Bingo days very serious. When he would call Bingo and it was time for the prizes he would say what do you have for the ladies. He spoiled all the CNA'S, he would call them his girls and would have something for them. He loved each and every one of them. David will greatly be missed by them all.
Glory to God! You were always there when we needed you growing up. If my mom (Mattie) had a need you were there. As a kid, mom would say: "if you keep it up, I'm going to tell your uncles (David, Charles, John, and JW)" and I would instantly get myself together. Your honest words of wisdom over the years still mean a lot to me. I love you, uncle David! Rest Easy!

David was an amazing man. He never met anyone he didn't like. David had stories for day, he would do his rounds in Madison in his wheelchair, if he got hot he would roll up under a shade tree ,waving at everyone. He had lived in Rockingham all his life so it was like he knew everyone. I loved my daddy to the moon and back, I'm really going to miss you daddy. I love you. Lora

Condolences and prayers to you Linda and your family during this difficult time 🙏
Praying for our sister Regina and the entire family. I had the pleasure of knowing Mr David when he worked on lawn mower. He was a hard working man. RIP.
My sympathy to Regina and the entire Cardwell family.
