Brother Frederick “Fred” Warren Martin, of Stoneville, NC, was born on May 4, 1964 to the late Sister Maggie Beatrice and Reverend Otha Nathaniel Martin. He peacefully transitioned to his heavenly home on Friday, September 26, 2025 at the age of 61 at St. Joseph Hospital located in Denver, CO where he resided.
Fred graduated from Stoneville High School in 1982 where he played basketball and football. After high school, he attended North Carolina Agricultural and Technical (A&T) State University in Greensboro, NC where he won the annual Mr. Aggie contest in 1986 where he sang “Reaching Out to You”. Fred graduated in May 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology (Manufacturing).
Fred gave his life to Jesus Christ and was baptized at Little River Baptist Church in Floyd, VA, where the late Reverend Martin, his father, was the pastor. He moved to Denver, CO and was employed with Amazon, Inc. and later transitioned to self-employment. Fred was Co-Pastor of Victory in Jesus Christ Ministries in Wheat Ridge, CO. He enjoyed singing and would often sing at church, family events and other special occasions. Over the years, Fred overcame many challenges because of the grace and mercy of God. In the latter part of his life, he was known for his giving heart which was evident by the many acts of kindness displayed to others including his choice to become a registered organ donor. He wanted his life to display the love of Christ even after his death. Fred’s generosity will help up to 75 people in need and be felt for many years to come.
In addition to his parents, Brother Fred, was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Nathaniel Martin.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: two sisters Faye Martin of Eden, NC; Pamela Blackwell (Twayne L.) of Aubrey, TX; one brother, Terry Martin of Stoneville, NC; two nieces, Venecia Thornton and Alicia Blackwell; two nephews, Erik Dillard (DeNeece) and Twayne M. Blackwell; one great niece and nephew, Mackenzie and Miles Thornton; along with a host of family and friends.
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25 NKJV

Pastor Fred, had ministry that was not in building behind a pulpit. His calling was to the one whom God sent him to bring the love of God to them. He love the hurting and those who were lost in hurt. He was the bandage and healing oil. A man who put himself always last. If someone need aid here comes Pastor Fred, Seeking his way to bring that which only a man like Pastor Fred could do. You see he had a very special anointing on his life. Many would say he was not save, but he was living a joyful life doing what God called me to do. Spread God's Love where it was needed. In the heart of the lost people who the church rejected. Many days we would talk about what he wanted. That was to help people to see the love and the light of Jesus for them. He didn't want much just the love of God that came in ways he wants. To his family a great man now is at rest and peace. Leon and Wilma was able to receive that love that God gave to him to give it out. You are at peace and rest enjoy your reward. To the family be of good cheer and remember him. In love Pastor Leon and Wilma Cleaves
My sincere condolences to the Martin family. Fred and I were Co Pastors at Victory In Jesus Christ Ministry, Fred and I would always say ,we are true brother and sister in Christ. We stood by one another through thick and thin no matter what. His nickname for me was "bucking bronco" straight forward Woman of God. Pastor Fred was my rock and I was his.We shared many meals together talking about God and life When we hit hard times yes, Pastors hit hard times and we would always be there to lift one another up. Unfortunately I didn't know about Pastor Fred being in the hospital and of his passing. I was wondering why I haven't heard from him, that wasn't like Pastor Fred he would come by for meals and to visit. I'm praying for all of the Martin family. Please know that Pastor Fred had the biggest heart of anyone I know,he was so loving and kind. Children loved him so much he had a special way with the kids. Pastor Fred and I were more than Co Pastors ,we were friends and family Pastor Fred was my brother. I'm going to deeply miss him but I do have peace that Pastor Fred is at peace and in comfort. Every time my rose bushes bloom I will think of Pastor Fred he loved to care for my rose bushes. Rest in peace my Brother Fred.
