Obituary For Georgia A. Tucker

Georgia A. Tucker,74, of Stoneville, died December 13,2020. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2020. The family will have a private service. LIVESTREAM WILL BE AVAILABLE Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 2 pm.

Georgia, affectionately known as “Duke” gained her heavenly wings on December 13, 2020. She was born on October 1, 1946 to the late Nathaniel and Georgia Lee Tucker. She attended Charles Drew High School where she graduated in 1967. Georgia was employed by Burlington Industries/Unifi for 48 years. She was a faithful member of The Greater Burning Bush Independent Holiness Church, Stoneville, NC until her health declined. Although her health was failing, she continued to press he way to church each Sunday. She was a loving, devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Georgia was a kind and giving person. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Willie Tucker.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters; Monica Tucker of the home, Michelle Tucker Welch (Shaun), Mayodan, NC, three sons; Jasen Tucker of the home, Mike Tucke (Rose), Eden, NC, Vincent Tucker (Shea), Stoneville, NC, seven grandchildren; Shanice, Dontray, Michel’le, Jamera, Malik, Jeremiah, Nmaya, two great grandchildren; Sariah and Mahogany, four sisters; Laura Settle (Earl), Virginia Galloway (Travis, Carolyn Jackson (Lonnie), Sharon Peare, two brothers; Nathan Tucker and Jimmy Tucker (Carolyn). She had many devoted friends; Emma Spain, Lillie King, Joan Foster, Leslie Carter, Mary Foster, Tricia Scales, Vonda Adams, Eva G. Ziglar and Harvey Moore. She was loved, respected and cherished by everyone she came in contact with.

To Ms.Georgia's children. My siblings and I want you to know that you guys are in our thoughts and prayers. Losing a parent is truly heart breaking. From experience hold onto all those wonderful memories and good times of mom and they will get you through. Michelle, Monica, Jason, Mike, Vincient, and Dontre, Georgia was a sweet woman with a very sweet spirit. I'm going to mix her sitting in her seat at church. When I would ask her how she was doing, she would say "I'm doing ok Stephanie". She never complained. She was so sweet. Yall have lost a jewel and God has gained an angel.
