Johnnie Wilson, Jr, 78, of Eden, NC died August 21, 2021. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday August 27, 2021, at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Eden, NC. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday August 28,2021 at Perry Spencer Funeral Home Chapel, Eden, NC. We request that everyone practice social distancing and wear a mask.
Mr. Johnnie Wilson, Jr. was a loving father, husband, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend that passed away at Gibson House on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Lil Johnnie was born July 14, 1943 the late Johnnie E. Wilson, Sr. and the late Lucinda (Cindy) Hairston Wilson. He attended public school in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. He was a farmer and after farming, he was a supervisor at Envoir Mental Services for Creative Leadership, Greensboro, NC until he retired after 25 years. After retiring he started doing carpentry work, where his work could be seen in Eden, NC and surrounding areas. Johnnie was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Wilson, his brother, Robert (Buck) and Mack Wilson, his sisters, Evon and Mary Louise.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his children; James V. Wilson, Joannie Mebane, Johnny Wilson, III all of Eden, NC, Ronald Wilson (Angie) of Axton, VA, sisters; Martha A. Clark (Connell), Fannie Adams (Carlton) of Eden, NC, Cynthia Wilson of Yanceyville, NC, sisters-in-law; Elsie Hayes of Reidsville, NC, Lottie and Doris Hairston, brother-in-law; Odell Hairston all of Virginia, 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, two aunts; Annie Wilson and Della Wilson both of Virginia, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, a special friend, Dorothy Wade.
