Lakisha Tadiyah “Kisha” McFarland was born April 23, 1979 to the late Donna Jean Lindsay and Jerry Wayne Johnson in Newark, NJ. Sadly, on Friday, November 27, 2020, she departed this life at Forsyth Medical Center. To most close to her, she was known as “Kisha”. If you were lucky to have Kisha, you could attest to her infectious personality and her spirit of selflessness. Nurturing her kids and others made her happy. She played a vital role in the lives of all that surrounded her, especially her three children and six grandchildren. Kisha had a passion for doing hair and trained in techniques for this profession when she attended the Job Corp.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna J. Lindsay and her maternal grandfather, John L. Lindsay, Sr.
She survived by her father; Jerry W. Johnson of Eden, NC, son; Malik McFarland of Madison, NC, two daughters; Destiny and Zaphora McFarland both of Eden, NC, six grandchildren; Zyquan McFarland of Raleigh, NC, Aiyanna McFarland of Madison, NC, Yusir McFarland, Patience Hampton, Naveah Carter and Samuel Hampton, Jr., all of Eden, NC, sisters; Jessica Scales of Eden, NC, Jasmine Johnson of Reidsville, NC, Victoria Fapojuwo, Jennifer Russell and Detra Russell all of Greensboro, NC, brothers; Al-Tareek Lindsay, Al-Jamar Lindsay, William Lindsay all of Eden, NC, Jerelle Johnson of La Grange, NC, Chad Perry and a host of other stepsiblings, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Her maternal grandmother; Sarah O. Wilkerson – Manns and paternal grandmother; Mary Etta Johnson both of Eden, NC.

Lakeisha McFarland is my niece,. I remember back when she was born she was such an Angelic baby as a woman I still see that beautiful smile hearing her calling me auntie always. I hope that you are in heaven with your mother looking down on us say it's okay I'm at peace!! Until the day I see you again you will be missed I love you sweetie rest in peace baby
