Larry “Pimp” Scales, 77 of Stoneville, NC passed Tuesday, March 5, 2024. Public viewing will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 12:30 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Mary D. Perry Memorial Chapel of Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Larry “Pimp” Scales, 77 of Stoneville, NC passed Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at UNC Health. Larry was born to the late Zebulin “Skipper” and Frances Scales in Rockingham County on June 16, 1946.
“Pimp” was married to Fleta “Diane” Scales on June 16, 1987. Larry worked at Stoneville Furniture Company until 1996 and later worked at Unifi Manufacturing until he retired.
Larry was also preceded in death by two brothers; Thomas Henry and James Francis Scales along with three uncles and five aunts.
Larry leaves to cherish his memories: His beloved wife; Fleta Scales and stepdaughter; Trina both of the home. Four brothers; Thomas Scales (Ellen) of DeKalb Junction, NY, Verne Scales (Penelope “Penny”) of Stoneville, NC, Robert Scales (Hilu) of Albuquerque, NM and Desi Scales (Alice) of Fayetteville, NC. Two sisters; Debra Hunter of Stoneville, NC and Barbara Dillard of Eden, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
