Mary Elizabeth “Lin” Carter Redman 81, passed Tuesday, February 17, 2026. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Mary D. Perry Memorial Chapel of Perry Spencer Funeral Home, 402 Short Ave., Madison, NC.

Mary Elizabeth Redman, 81, of Reidsville, North Carolina, a beloved member of her community, passed away on February 17, 2026. She passed peacefully in her sleep. She reunited with her parents, Otis D. and Janie E. Finney-Carter, her husband, Charles K. Redman, son, Mark A. Redman and her sisters, Carol Ann Carter and Rosa Lee Carter Brown. Mary was an exceptional daughter and student, graduating at the age of seventeen. During the following decade she worked as a housekeeper and nanny, all while meeting and marrying Charles Redman and raising two children. At the age of twenty-eight, she began her career in finance, working and retiring from what is now known as Chase Bank. After retiring in 2000, she devoted her time to her grandkids and great grandchild. Filling her days with love, smiles and laughter. Mary known affectionately as “Lin” by her close friends and family, will be deeply missed by her daughter; Celestine (Tina) McCall, her son-in-law; Carl McCall, granddaughters; Sierra L. Graham, A. McCall and Cody A. McCall. Great granddaughter, Islbella (Bella) Graves and many other cousins and friends.
