I am saddened to hear of the passing of Mrs. Mary. She was sweetest person I have ever worked with! She always carried a warm smile, a genuine hug, and most encouraging words. Guilford County Health Department was definitely a better place to work with her being there. Rest easy, Mrs. Mary!
Mary was such a joy to work with at the Health Department. She truly served and cared about everyone that crossed her path, both patients and coworkers. Mary has left us to be an Angel in Heaven with the Lord and her memory will continue to touch those of us left here on earth. Much love, sympathy, and prayers to Mary's family.

I'm truly at a loss for words to hear of your passing Mary! We've been friends since elementary school and I've been so blessed and thankful to call you my forever friend! You always had such a huge smile on your face and a warm hug every time I seen you! Your face would light up when I asked about your family especially your beautiful girls! You are going to truly truly be missed. I love you my sweet friend! Your family is in my heart and my prayers!!π’πβ₯οΈ
I've had the honor of knowing Mary and her infectious smile. May God give your family peace knowing you are resting in God's eternal warm embrace. ππΎποΈ
I met Mary in 2006 when we (CITIES) were in partnership with Oak Springs and provided health screenings. We made an instant connection and loved picking on her because of the southern belle charm she would use when calling Vernon's name..π Such a sweet and loving spirit..Rest in His arms and may loving memories comfort the family..
Dear Vernon and family, Our hearts are heavy with sorrow for your loss. Mary was loving, kind and authentic. When I went to the Health Department in 2006, I was assigned an office next to hers. She was a good Neighbor, and her door was always open for those in need. She had a superpower, a gift of God. It is called "Presence". Whenever one spoke with Mary, she always gave them her full attention. In today's world that not a small thing. Her laughter, her smile, those eyes; they looked directly into yours. There was no hiding from Mary, she saw your heart. She was truly one of God's Elect. She is in His Presence now. Praying for the entire family to be surrounded by the love of God. May He give you comfort and strength needed during this most difficult time.
"Embrace the sweet precious memories and let the tears flow when needed ~ That's what LOVE does."
I was extremely sad to hear this news! I worked with Mary at the Health Department for years, and I always loved her happy deposition and positive outlook. She really cared about our patients at the Health Department and went above and beyond to give them the best care. She will be truly missed! My heartfelt condolences to her family!
I am so sorry to hear of Mary'S passing Prayers for the family We worked together when Mary first graduated She was so nice
Mary was LOVE at work in every part of her life, her marriage, children, family, church, work and community. "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails" (1 Corinthians 13:4-8a).
My deepest condolences to the family of Mary Helen. One day we will not have to shed tear because of lost oh love ones. Jehovah's promise of no sickness, or death will heal this very pain one day soon. May memories brighten your day when you think of Mary.
Right now I am experiencing many different emotions from the pain of losing my friend, but peace comes in knowing she's no longer suffering. She will be truly missed
Sending prayers to the family. May God's Grace and Mercy sustain you today and in all the days to come.
Mary Shaw will forever hold a special place in my heart. Mary has always been an angel has always done God's work and she will forever be missed.
I am very sad that Mary has left us. I pray that the love and memories she leaves behind will bring peace and comfort to all those who love her as we try to learn how to live in a world without Mary.
Sending my deepest and heartfelt condolences. May God bless and comfort you all during this most difficult time. May you find peace in knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with The Lord.
I am sorry to hear about you and family's loss. All are in my thoughts and prayers. Love all
May you rest in eternal peace. You left a tremendous gift of love. I thank you for touching my life in so many ways. Praying for your family.
I was blessed to have worked closely with Mary at the Guilford County Health Dept for several years. She was not only my coworker but she was my dear friend and sister in Christ. Mary always had a smile on her face and had a joyful, uplifting spirit. She was such a hardworker and took such great care of our Maternity patients. I loved going down to her office and chatting with her about life. We laughed together, cried together, and prayed together. She had a way of uplifting your spirit just by being in her presence. I did not know she had cancer as she did not share it with us cause she did not want her friends to worry over her. If I had known she was ill, I would have surely helped her in any way I could have, visited her, loved on her, encouraged her, prayed with her, etc. I now live 2 hours away in Kings Mtn but would have traveled to do anything for her cause she was just that special to me. My prayers and love go out to her family who I know are mourning her loss. Mary Shaw now celebrates in Heaven with Jesus and no longer suffers. I love you Mary Shaw, and I was blessed to have the gift of you in my life
Mrs. Mary was one of the sweetest people I've worked with. Always positive and upbeat. She never hesitated to help me in any way she could. She will be missed dearly.
Mary Helen is my 1st cousin on uncle Henry Wilson's side of the family. I have many cousins, but Mary Helen was by far one of the SWEETEST cousin anyone would ever want. Mary Helen carried the FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT in her heart β₯οΈ and it truly showed every time we either saw each other or communicated on the phone. I Praise God, because she's now resting in God's presence! To God be all the Glory in Jesus Name! Cousin Catherine β₯οΈππΎ
