Ms. Maurina Houssein Ahmed Aiken, 26, of Fayetteville, NC (formerly of Eden, NC) passed Wednesday, April 23, 2025. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church, 146 Fisher Hill Rd., Eden, NC. with the service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Hairston Cemetery, 174 Shady Grove Rd., Eden, NC
Maurina Houssein Ahmed Aiken was born on June 17, 1998, in Minneapolis, MN. Shew grew up in Eden, NC, raised by her loving mother, Roxie Aiken and cherished by her other sisters, Corina Aiken and Crystal Allen.
Maurina's journey in life was defined by resilience and determination, matched with heart full of compassion and generosity. She cared deeply for others, often putting their needs before her own. Though she faced challenges from an early age, she never let them define her journey nor diminish the strength and grace with which she lived.
A proud FSM Bronco, Maurina studied communications at Fayetteville State University. She was a few credits from earning her bachelor's degree when she felt called to nursing, completing an accelerated program and becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Fayetteville's Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Her passing, coinciding with Resurrection Sunday, hold profound significance. In this time of sorrow, her family finds comfort in knowing that she is now raised anew with Christ, covered by His unending grace and abiding forever in God's perfect love.
She was preceded in death by her father, Houssein Ahmed and survived by her mothers, Roxie Aiken and Lina Baharta, as well as siblings - Helen Ahmed, Eskander Ahmed (Hibaq Nimale), Corinna Aiken, Crystal Aiken, Ellias Ahmed and Tiya Ahmed- who will miss her dearly.
