Michael G. Ziglar, 69, of Madison, NC passed March 15, 2022. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 2, 2022 at The Refuge, Mayodan, NC.
On Tuesday, March 15, 2022, Michael Glenn Ziglar went to be with the Lord. Michael was born on April 12, 1952, in Madison NC, to the late Dolphus and Beulah Martin Ziglar.
He graduated from Madison-Mayodan Senior High School in 1970. Michael joined the United States Marines Corp shortly thereafter. Michael was a proud Marine and served his country well. Michael loved his family and loved being a Marine. You could always rely on him to tell you how proud he was to be a Marine. He loved to keep you laughing and tell you the truth and make the truth plain.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother; Gary W. Ziglar, great nephew; Darius Dowtin and other family members.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son; Michonn Kellam, brother; Larry “Donnie” Ziglar, two nieces; one devoted; Daria Ziglar-Avent (Charles) Richmond, VA and Brittany Ziglar-Woody (Jirian) Greensboro, NC , nephew; Gary W. Ziglar, Jr., Greensboro, NC and great niece; Nysia Thompson, Richmond, VA, three great nephews; three great great nieces, four aunts, a devoted friend; Doris Kellam, and a host of other family and friends.
I was stationed with Michael in New River at MCAS (H). I haven't seen him since 1975. Sgt. Ziglar was a great friend. Sorry to hear that he passed away. Sgt. D.D. Cornelous
