Obituary For Michael Lowery Hairston
Michael Lowery Hairston, 71, of Winston Salem, NC, died August 25, 2021. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Rising Star Baptist Church, Walnut Cove, NC.
Michael went to join his heavenly father August 25, 2021. He was the 3rd child born October 15, 1949, to Virginia Hairston and the late Eugene Hairston. He attended and graduated from London High School in Walnut Cove, NC. His early life included many fun filled vacations with family. After his graduation from High School he married his wife, Edith, who preceded him in death. He proudly served his country as a Marine for four years and returned to Winston Salem to work for Western Electric (AT&T) until he retired. Michael love to race cars and attend racing events. During his later years he enjoyed the quiet & solitude of fishing and vacations with family.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his 3 siblings; Eugene, Jr., Jackie Jackson and Lou Wanda Hairston, uncle; Bobby Hairston, five nephews, great nieces & nephews, cousins and friends.
