In the early hours of the morning on Monday, October 31, 2022 she peacefully slept into the arms of Jesus.
After graduating from the Pittsylvania County School System, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, the late Rayfield Robertson, and were united for over 30 years. She was employed by Dan River Mills, where she retired.
Mother Robertson dedicated her life to Christ at Mt. Zion Way of the Cross Church under the leadership of the late Bishop Robert B. Fuller, Sr. She was an active member of Bibleway Cathedral where she served, singing in numerous choirs until relocating to Winston Salem, NC, as her son was caring for her. The greatest joys of her life were spending time with and caring for people. She also enjoyed reading the bible, praying, singing, and cooking for her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Pastor Gregory Robertson, Sr. (Virginia) and Sheila Robertson; grandchildren, Pastor Christopher Robertson (Taneka), Gregory Robertson, II (Miranda), Alisha Horne (Tomorris), and Samuel Robertson (LaShawn); seven great-grandchildren and a host of great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Alston, Parthenia Coleman, Tommy Carter (Mary), Bill Carter (Brenda), and Bobby Carter (Shirley); and many more relatives that knew and loved her.
