Nancy Grey Jones, 90 of Walnut Cove, NC passed Wednesday, September 10, 2025.

CHANGE: Because of the possibility of inclement weather: The Funeral Service will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Mary D. Perry Chapel of Perry& Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at Pine Hall Baptist Church Cemetery, Pine Hall, NC.

Public viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 15, 2025, at Perry-Spencer Funeral Home Chapel, 402 Short Avenue, Madison, NC.

Nancy Grey Jones transitioned peacefully from this life on Wednesday, September 10, 2025 at Piney Grove Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Kernersville, NC. She was born to the late Mary Elizabeth Johnson and George Johnson on June 18, 1935.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Isaac Jones; her beloved sisters, Betty Johnson (her twin), Lucille Covington, Fannie Simmons, Lettisha Johnson and Thenia Hairston and her brothers, George Johnson and Charles Johnson.

Nancy was a proud graduate of London High School and dedicated many years to the textile industry before meeting her beloved husband and embracing the joy of retirement. She was a true fashionista who loved shopping and expressing herself through fashion.

As the last matriarch of her generation, Nancy upheld family legacy with quiet strength, dignity and boundless love. Her passing closes a meaningful and treasured chapter in our family's story - one that will be remembered with deep love and enduring respect.

She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who will forever cherish her memory and honor the legacy she carried so gracefully.
