Obituary For Nancy Mary “Granny” Walker

Ms. Nancy Walker, 51, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed Saturday December 24, 2022. Public viewing will be held Friday, December 30, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. ~ 7:00 p.m. at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Eden, NC. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 31, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. ~ 1:00 p.m. at United In Christ Ministries, 211 Oakland Avenue, Eden, NC with the funeral service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Hopper Family Cemetery, Stoneville, NC.

Nancy Mary Walker (Granny) was born February 13,1971 to the late Brenda J Walker of Greensboro, NC, she departed this life after a short illness at Forsyth Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC on December 24, 2022.

Nancy graduated from Stoneville High School in 1989 where she participated in basketball and volleyball, where in her senior year she was the team's most valuable player she received an Associates degree in Business Management from Hardbarger Business College, Raleigh, NC. She worked at Kobe Copper for several years then becoming an entrepreneur and an inventor with her sister one of her favorite sayings was we CMB “WE ALL - WE GOT - AM I MY SISTER’S KEEPER, YES I AM.”

She was also preceded in death by her aunts; Mary Stanfield, Nancy Mcglone, her uncle; Walter Walker, grandmother; Mary Walker, grandfather; Sam Booker.

Leaves one brother; Johnny Walker from Eden, NC (Melissa), one sister; Kimberly Walker of Winston –Salem, NC, uncle; John Stanfield (Gwen) of Greensboro NC, uncles; Wilbert Walker of Salisbury NC and Kent Walker, aunt; Kay Walker of Stoneville NC, three nephews, three nieces and a host of great nieces and nephews and cousin CJ Graves. She also leaves a devoted friend, Steve Wilson.
