Obituary For Nannie Hairston

Nannie Hairston,85, of Eden, NC passed January 10,2022. Public viewing will be held 1:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 14,2022 at Perry- Spencer Funeral Home, Eden, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m.- 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Robinson Memorial UHC, Eden, NC. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with burial following at St. John Baptist Church Cemetery, Axton, VA.

On Monday, January 10, 2022, God saw fit to call his angel home, Nannie Hairston. She was born February 2, 1936, to the late Percy and Willie Ruth Artis of Eden, NC.

She was a faithful member of Robinson Memorial United Holy Church and a member of the Senior Choir. She loved the outdoors and working in the yard. Nannie was also a former employee of Fieldcrest Mills.

She was also preceded by her husband, Dewey Hairston, three sisters; Bertha Artis, Florence Johnson, Alice Artis, three brothers; Calvin Artis, Peter Artis and Harold Artis.

Left to cherish warm and loving memories: Two daughters; Betty Richardson (Dennis), Cheryl Hairston of Eden, NC, brother; William Artis (Kat) of Forth Lawn, SC, sisters; Mary Jumper of Eden, NC, Georgia Johnson of Forth Lawn, SC, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
