Nathaniel “Nathan” J. Tucker, 69 of Toledo, OH (formerly of Madison, NC ) passed Friday, August 22, 2025. Public visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, 402 Short Ave., Madison, NC. The family will receive friends Monday, September 1, 2025 from 12:30 p.m.- 1:00 p.m. in Mary D. Perry Memorial Chapel of Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC with the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. and interment following at Collins Cemetery, Madison, NC.

Nathaniel J. Tucker was born on March 8, 1956, to the late Nathaniel and Georgia L. Tucker in Rockingham County. He was affectionately called Nathan and completed his life's journey on August 22, 2025 at his home in Toledo, Ohio, where he had lived for many years. Nathan held various jobs throughout his life. He had a zest for life and was often found watching his favorite TV shows, tinkering with a car or sharing laughs with family and friends. Listening to music was his favorite pastime. Nathan loved his family and often spoke about them. He will be remembered most for his infectious laugh and loving spirit and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Willie Tucker and one sister, Georgia Tucker.
Nathan leaves behind to cherish his memory: two daughters; Denise King of Eden, NC and Geneva King of Reidsville, NC. Six sons; Nathan (Tuck) N. King of Stoneville, NC, Darrell L. King (Renee) of Eden, NC, Minister Christopher Brown of Reidsville, NC, Jordy Brown (Latosha) of High Point, NC, Nathan and Kejaun Johnson both of Toledo, Ohio. Four sisters; Virginia Galloway (Minister Travis) of Stoneville, NC, Laura Settle (Bishop Earl) of Stoneville, NC, Carolyn Jackson (Pastor Lonnie) of Greensboro, NC, Sharon Peace of Burlington, NC. One brother; Jimmy Tucker (Carolyn) of Whitsett, NC, One aunt; Mary Francis Tucker of Gibsonville, NC, two uncles; Phillip Redd (Carrie) and William Redd (Annie Ruth) both of Winston Salem, NC. He also leaves 28 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, whom he cherished, along with cousins and friends.
