Patsy S. Dillard, 70, of Eden, NC passed January 22, 2022. Public viewing will be held Friday, January 28, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Perry Spencer Funeral Home Chapel, Eden, NC. Family visitation will be Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Perry Spencer Funeral Home Chapel, Eden, NC from 11:30 a.m. - 12 noon, with the funeral service beginning at 12 noon. Followed by the burial at Roselawn Cemetery, Reidsville, NC.
Patsy “Pat” Smith Dillard departed this life on Saturday, January 22, 2022, at UNC Rockingham Hospital, Eden, NC. Patsy was born December 7, 1951, in Leaksville, NC to the late Willie D. Smith and the late Marion Broadnax Smith.
Patsy graduated from Morehead High School in 1970 and later continued her education at Rockingham Community College, where she received an Associate Degree in Early Childhood and also received a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Gardner-Webb University.
Patsy grew up in Springfield Baptist Church where she served as the church secretary, a musician, member of the missionary circle, served on the kitchen committee and was a member of the Fellowship & Senior Choirs. Patsy later transferred her membership to Mountain View Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the usher board & President of the Missionary Circle.
She was also preceded in death by her brother, Michael W. Smith and Joseph D. Smith, Sr.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her daughters; Tiffany Dillard of Greensboro, NC and Kimberly Carter (Christopher) of Martinsville, VA. Two grandchildren; Kendra Carter, Christopher Carter, Jr., sister-in-law; Constance Smith (late Joseph D. Smith, Sr.), two nieces; Cristy Smith and Alycia S. Smith (Tyler), three nephews; Joseph D. Smith, Jr. (Lakeisha), Marcus Smith (Nicole), Michael W. Smith, Jr. (Dorothy) and a host of other relatives and friends.

Sorry to hear of my dear sweet friend departure, but to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord... We often talk about this the years we worked together at the Opportunities Corp. My sincere sympathy goes out to her entire family, send prayers and condolenences your way.

Patsy I'm going miss you coming with my mom over to my place to eat. Always saying "hey pretty girl"... Calling me to check on me and we just cut up. Going to miss you bringing mama over. Mama is really missing you. This one hit us hard. Take your rest. We love you and will definitely miss you.
