Obituary For Rev. Treva Tatum Moore

Reverend Treva Tatum Moore, 47 passed Friday, May 19, 2023. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m., Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. The family will receive friends Friday, May 26, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at The Refuge, 213 S. 2nd Ave., Mayodan, NC with the “Celebration of Life” beginning at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Mayodan Municipal Cemetery, S. Ayersville Rd., Mayodan, NC.

Treva Toshanda Tatum Moore: some call her mama, one calls her wife, others sister or TT and many call her famly or a friend. Yet she is most affectionately known as Treva and what matters most is that she is loved. Treva boldly entered this world on August 21, 1975. She departed from this earthly vessel on Friday, May 19, 2023, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston Salem, NC.

Rev. Treva Moore was a dedicated member of Grace Fellowship Church, Winston Salem, NC, until her health began to decline. In the church she wore many hats, such as Associate Pastor, secretary, choir director, event coordinator and all-around friend to everyone.

After graduating from McMichael High School in 1993, Treva attended Greensboro Technical College in 2018 where she obtained her associate degree in Applied Science. She was employed as a paralegal for various attorneys, worked for disability claims with Pearl Joyner-Lee and as a teacher's assistant at Dillard Academy. She had a heart of gold and was always smiling and cracking jokes. In all aspects, she touched many lives and helped many people. Her energy was contagious, it was impossible not to love her, she could make you laugh in the unexpected and always had a comeback for whatever you had to say. She loved everyone unselfishly and unconditionally the same.

Treva was preceded in death by her parents, the late Samuel D. and Mary A. Tatum, her maternal grandparents, Vester and Alice Moore, paternal grandparents, Den and Corina Tatum, her daughter, Rivian Daniels, aunts and uncle, Makiver Mitchell, Shelia and James Johnson and by her cousins, Sha Welcvh and Wendy Moore.

Although she isn't physically her with us her memory will forever be cherished by her beloved husband; Frank Moore, Jr., adored children; Chauncee Tatum (Madison), Chaslin tatum, Chaya Tatum (home), Jeremy Daniels (Reidsville), Dylan Daniels (Madison), Alia Neal (Reidsville); irreplaceable sisters; Veronica Tatum (Elkin), Artina Tatum (Mayodan), adoptive sister, Nicole Foster (Mayodan), influential brothers; Michael Saunders (High Point), Anthony Welch (Winston Salem), Shoun Welch (Michelle) (Mayodan), inspiring adoptive parents; John and JoAnn Welch (Madison), Shelia Anderson (Madison); an abundance of aunts and uncles, very specially-bonded nieces, nephews and extended friends who were family to her just the same, who will miss her dearly.

Treva and I played basketball growing up. I always knew I had a friend in Treva.

The passing of a love one is never easy and that's for sure,but we want you family to know that our heaveningly father will take care of you. Its was such a shock to hear of Treva's passing. She was an awesome young lady that had the gift of making people laugh. I won't ever forget the day that i had gotten in a bad situation and Treva and Tina showed up at my door.The whole family treated me as family. My heart breaks for her loved ones. I keep seeing in my mind the last time I heard her sing the song with the lyrics I'll be shouting. I'll be singing. Glory Hallelujah Just as soon as I get there. I know that's what she is doing Singing and shouting as her feet strike Zion. Sing and shout on Treva as your troubles are over. Maythe lord give the family peace at this most difficult time. Treva was a very sweet soul that touched everyone she came into contact with . Her laughter was contagious and her love was enduring . I will miss seeing that beautiful smile and that laughter that could go on for days . I pray for healing of your family and I now know all of your children and family will have a special angel watching over them . Treva was a good person. She could make anyone laugh. She always treated everyone with kindness and love. I will miss you. Your battle is over and we still are in the fight. Words cannot express the joy I have from knowing you for them shorts few years. You always bought a presence of joy when you entered the room. I'm so blessed to have met you and your family. I know that this is not easy on the family at all but I know that you're resting in Heaven with Jesus. To the entire family know that Coach Strickland and Stefan McLaughlin loves each and everyone of you with our whole hearts. No one could light up a room like Treva. She had the biggest smile and could keep our classroom laughing for days. She was a talented athlete, best friend to many, and told it like it was. Probably her most endearing quality, was telling the truth, without mincing words. At least that way, you knew where she was coming from.
Her passing comes as a shock to us all, especially her classmates (c/o 93). Heaven gained an Angel, but we lost our dear sister and friend!

Treva was a sweet soul she always had a smile on her face really hurt me when I heard the news I remember riding the bus with Treva growing up as we got older no matter where I would see her she would always speak I want you all to know you all are in my thoughts as well as prayers I'll be thinking of you all in these trying times but do know she's looking down on you all with that beautiful smile bless her heart she'll be missed and never forgotten.
