Mr. Samuel Dixon, 78, of Lexington, NC died September 16, 2020. A public viewing will be held from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2020 at Perry Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. A private service will be held Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 1:00 p.m.
On Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at approximately 8:30 p.m., God dispatched an angel to call him home. Samuel Leroy Dixon was born May 16, 1942. Samuel retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company after 42 years of service. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting and sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raleigh Martin and Mable Dixon-Martin and biological father, Sam Fulton, brothers, William Dixon, John Henry Dixon, Thomas Dixon, Floyd Martin and Wayne Martin. Sisters, Hazel Jean Gray and Mona Chandler.
Samuel leaves to cherish his memory: his wife; Evangelist Betty Dixon, children; Anita Mitchell of California, Floyd Dixon of High Point, NC, Valerie Dixon of Belews Creek, NC Malcolm Dixon (Jennifer), Derrick Scales (Joy), Roman Dixon all of Winston Salem, NC, Kimberly Dixon of Raleigh, NC, Dale Tatum of Virginia. Siblings; Rosie Morris (Carlos) of Walkertown, NC, Robert Martin (Vera) and Raleigh Martin (Delphine) both of Walnut Cove, NC, brothers-in-law; Reverend David Webster (Virginia) William Webster (Sharon), Donald Webster (Janet), James Webster (Iyai) and George Webster (Maria). Sisters-in-law; Mary Webster, Vera Webster and Doris Smith (Rev. Larry Smith), 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and special friends, Harold and Richard Byers.
