Obituary For Sherwin D. Reynolds
Sherwin D. Reynolds, 84, of Eden, NC, died December 15, 2020. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2020. The family will have a private service. LIVESTREAM WILL BE AVAILABLE Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.
On Tuesday, December 15, 2020, Sherwin Dexter Reynolds, one we loved and cherished, departed from this earth at the age of 84. Sherwin, the middle child of three children, was born October 14, 1936 in Eden, NC to Evelyn Reynolds, who preceded him in death.
Sherwin, affectionately known to everyone as Ponnie, married Lena Scales on August 23, 1958 and to their union three children were born, two daughters, Dianne and Rhonda, and one son, Sherwin Jr. Sherwin Jr. and two brothers, Frederick Reynolds and Charles Reynolds preceded him in death. Ponnie was educated in the Eden City School System. He worked various jobs in the textile and service industries before retiring. He was a member of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church where he attended Sunday service regularly. He was mostly known for bringing smiles and laughter to all who knew him in Eden and surrounding areas.
He leaves to cherish his memories: Carolyn Dianne Reynolds of the home, Rhonda Harrison of Dallas, TX, Angela Denny (Shaun) of Eden, Chuckey Aiken of Charlotte, grandchildren; Tito, Jeffrey, Elisa, Eman, Jada, RaShaun, Dalynn, three great grandchildren; Maya, Alena, Leila; three sisters-in-law; Sue Dalton of Madison, Elease Reynolds of South Carolina, Regina Reynolds of Eden; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

I worked on Mr Reynolds Furnace for many years. I always enjoyed talking with him and talking about old times. He was a very good customer always did what he said he would do. Sorry to read of his passing Jeffrey Seagraves
