Theodosia, known by most as Thee, left her earthly home on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. She was born April 17, 1953 to the late James Junior Smith and Viola Louvie Claybrooks. She was married to Eugene Edward Galloway, Sr. and to this union 1 child was born. Thee later was happily married to the late James Thomas Wooten on May 25, 1991. Thee was a faithful member of Mayo Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Usher’s Ministry. She attended Drewry Mason High School and later received her GED. She was employed by Tultex for 30 years. Thee also worked as a Care Giver for 28 years at Hamony Hall in Bassett and later pursued her CNA License providing private care and studied to become a Certified Medication Aid. Serving others was one of her passions in life other than the love for her family which was number one. Her only son made her exceptionally proud and her love for her daughter-in-law was better described as daughter-in-love. God blessed her with her most wonderful possession, her granddaughter and was involved in every aspect of her life from birth, pre-school, softball, first prom and her move when she started Winston-Salem State. Thee was there for it all. In her spare time, she always found time for Triniti to cook, shop or just spend time together. In addition to her deceased parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, William Lysander Smith (Aretta) and her sister Viola Vanessa Smith.
Thee leaves to cherish her memories, her only son: Eugene Edward Galloway, Jr. (Monique) her precious granddaughter, Triniti Simone Galloway. One brother, James Randolph Smith. Three nephews: Joshua Vidalle Smith, Jerry DeWayne Smith and Jemiah DeDhawn Smith. One niece: Yshecia Evette Smith Galloway. Four aunts: Roselle C. Dalton, Ruby S. Moore, Mary B. Spencer and Beulah C. Watkins. Two special and devoted friends, Anita Deshazo and Brenda Draper and a host of other friends and acquaintances.
