Theresa Elizabeth Teamer was born on January 1, 1954 in Bridgeport, CT to Amos Sr. and Sophia Meadows Teamer. She graduated from Morehead Memorial School in 1972 then she attended North Carolina A&T State University in 1972 on a full scholarship. She joined Springfield Baptist Church at an early age. Theresa was employed in Eden City, HUD Division until her health declined.
Sister was on of a kind, you will never find another one like her in a million years. Her intelligence was phenomenal, straight “A” student from start to finish. So phenomenal that she taught herself to do anything she was interested in such as playing the piano, crafting, shorthand and she even did a complete research analysis on her health condition. Her goal was to outsmart everyone..every time. She excelled so much intellectually, her siblings were recognized as Theresa Teamer. She loved being the entertainer, cooking and gift giving, every occasion she gave you something. Her hobbies were making potholders, hats and scarves, buying candy for neighborhood children, working puzzles and learning to play the guitar and imitating Michael Jackson. Through it all she was the perfect demonstration of love.
Theresa was preceded in death by her father.
Left to remember her beautiful life are her Mother, Sophia Meadows Teamer, three sisters; Veronica Ann Clark (Morris) and Katherine Teamer both of Eden, NC, Tracy Hill (Michael) of Brentwood, CA; brother; Amos Teamer, Jr. (Viola) of Eden, NC; three nieces, Lisa Clark of Rocky Mount, NC, Lynn Carolina (Jamie) of Walkertown, NC and Shannon Teamer of Greensboro, NC; two nephews, Gerald Clark and Jamar Teamer of Eden, NC; one great nephew, Geran Scales of Walkertown, NC; two great nieces, Audity Scales of Walkertown, NC and Jala McDonald of Raleigh, NC; one great-great nephew, Nolan Grant of Greensboro, NC and a host of extended family and friends.

It is so wonderful to hear how much life Teresa had the opportunity to live Almost 14 years after we had the opportunity to meet her when she was very sick. With the help of God and her family, she was able to turn your life around and live longer than anybody thought she would. I am saddened that she is gone but I'm also very happy that she was here!
Love, Dr. Bradley

To my sweet, loving Sister. You have taught me so much my entire life and I am so lucky. My heart is broken into a million pieces; yet, it stays together because I know that struggle you endured is over. You have always been a God girl and he decided it was time to call you home.
As the youngest child, I have so many wonderful memories and focus on the laughter we shared. You were truly your own person in command of your life and I always admired that. My greatest honor was hosting you in California and seeing the world, that I take for granted at times, through your childlike eyes.
Your natural talent and intellect was always a wonder to watch and experience with a front row seat. Looking back, I can't be more proud that when teachers in school did not call me Tracy, but called me "Theresa's sister." Not everyone had that pleasure. You are truly unforgettable and have influenced my life greatly. There is comfort in knowing that we now have another angel overlooking our lives and I look forward to your continued guidance from heaven. You have always told me what to do...don't stop now!
Michael, Pepper and I love you SO much and will miss you like crazy.
