Thomas Leon-Arey Robinson, 32 of Stoneville, NC passed Saturday, December 2, 2023. A memorial service was held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 9 , 2023 at First Baptist Church, 300 E Main Street, Stoneville, N.C.
A celebration of life for Thomas Leon-Arey Robinson will be observed on Saturday, December 9th at the First Baptist Church of Stoneville, NC at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Richard Stevens will be officiating along with several others.
Leon graduated from McMichael High School in 2009 and was very active in many sports with the Special Olympics including: Baseball, Basketball, Softball, Volleyball and Soccer. Leon worked at McDonalds in Mayodan and at Wendy's in Reidsville. He was also a member of the Opportunity Center in Reidsville. Leon especially enjoyed VBS each summer in church and he loved music & dancing and hanging out with family, friends and his brother, Victor. Leon had a very contagious smile that would brighten up anyone's day.
Leon was preceded in death by his grandparents: Maggie Lee Robinson, Aery Robinson, Essie Mae Hartyzog, Leon Hartzog and several cousins.
He survived by his father, Thomas Dewey Robinson, his mother, Karenne Leonjil Robinson, his brother, Victor Lemar Robinson, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family and friends.
It is with deep sadness to hear about the passing of Leon Robinson. We did not know of this until yesterday. Our family fellowshipped with Leon, his parents and brother watching them grow up. Whenever I think of the Special Olympics I will think of Leon and Dewey and Karen. Y'all were always there for every practice and every game, rain or shine! Y'all were his best champion and biggest fan! We will always remember how much he loved being a part of the team. Win or lose he always had that wonderful smile on his face and was always so happy! May God be with you in this time of need!
