Woodrow “Woody” Wallace, Jr. 58 of Stoneville, NC passed Sunday February 8, 2026. The “Celebration of Life” will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday February 15, 2026, in the Mary D. Perry Memorial Chapel at Perry-Spencer Funeral Home, Madison, NC. Interment will follow at Stoneville Municipal Cemetery, Thomas St., Stoneville,

Public viewing will be held from 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Saturday February 14, 2026, at Perry- Spencer Funeral Home 402 Short Avenue Madison, NC.
From an early age, Woody displayed a remarkable spirit of compassion and resilience. He dedicated his life to serving others, whether through his career as MMS (Mobile Motorcoach Solutions) or in his involvement with Community. Known for his warm smile and generous heart, Woody touched the lives of everyone he encountered. His unwavering faith was a guiding light to his family and community, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Woody enjoyed traveling and socializing with his friends. He often spoke of his friends and family during family reunions. He was well known for his great cooking skills for which he always bragged about. Woody enjoyed participating in all his children's and grandchildren's lives. He regularly attended all family functions and activities. Woody will be remembered for his love of family, his dedication to his faith, and his endless kindness to others. His legacy of love, for and service will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. Woody was preceded in death by his father, Woodrow Pete Wallace and mother, Dorothy Gray Rasberry-Wallace; one brother, Johnny Ray Rasberry; two sisters, Gloria Jean Hines and Julie Ann Worthington-Williams. He leaves behind to cherish his memories; wife and soulmate, Ersella Barrier-Wallace of the home; six children, Michelle Barrier Wiggins (James), Frederico Barrier (Linda), Jessica Barrier (Jamal), Caprice D. Antignac, Camori D'Antignac and Christian Wallace; ten grandchildren; three brothers, Linwood Earl Rasberry (Carolyn), Roger Jones, and Marvin Dean Wallace (Talesha); three sisters, Angela Lynette Pender (Jasper), Amara Gavi, and Edna Carol (Doug); two aunts, Mildred Cogdell of Paris, Texas and Rubell Hood of Snow Hill, NC; mother-in-law, Mary Barrier; three aunt-in-laws, Rosa McDuffie, Robbie Evans, and Sharon D'Antignac; three uncles, Preston McDuffie (Ysheba), Grip McDuffie, and Dicky McDuffie; two sister-in-laws, Annette Smith (Mike) and Gladys McElvens (Brian); brother-in-laws, Marcus Barrier; a host of cousins, nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.

It is so heartbreaking to learn of Woody's passing. We were originally colleagues at Setra that became the best of friends. Woody meant so much to so many people and was a tremendous resource to our industry. My condolences to his wife and family. I will truly miss him. May his memory be a blessing.
