The Celebration of the Life of a Remarkable Woman Proverbs 31 “There are many capable women but you surpass them all, charm may be false and beauty may be fleeting, the woman fears Jehovah will be praised.”
Who could imagine that those precious ninety seven years would fade so quickly for our mother, Mrs. Annie L. Jackson. She used those days gracefully and aimed her blows so as to have measurable results. She was born on February 7, 1928 to John and Louise Paul in Chester County, South Carolina.
She attended William Penn High School of High Point. She enjoyed working as an Elevator Operator at Sheraton Hotel where she met the love of her life, Johnny Jackson. Love at first sight they decided to tie the knot and become one and raise eight adorable children together fulfilling the role as a capable wife who is valued far more than that of corals. They spent many evenings gardening, canning and preserving food for their family for the days to come. She was blessed to be able to be a homemaker for her family providing food for her household and portions for those just stopping by. She was known as the Iron Chef in her kitchen for her biscuits, cream corn, barbecue ribs, hen and dressing, her chocolate-colored layer cake which her grand kids loved so well, macaroni and cheese, meatloaf, vegetable soups, salmon croquettes and last among many her sweet potato pie.
In 1980 she met the true and everlasting love of her life Jehovah God and decided to get baptized and has made this her life goal without going to the right or the left, keeping Proverbs 3:6-7 as her focal point, “Trust in Jehovah with all your heart and do not rely on your own understanding in all your ways take notice of him and he will make your paths straight.” She extended her hand to the lowly helping mothers and their children to keep their eyes on the prize and to love Jehovah with all their heart and witnessing about her hope to everyone including Uber drivers, ambulance workers, nurses, doctors who would listen to her valuable message which she made very appealing.
She was also known as clothing herself with well-arranged dress. She was known for her high heels in her eighty’s and for her gracefulness in adornment, always in modesty and humility.
She is clothed with strength and splendor and she looks to the future with confidence and watched over the activity of her household and the generations to come though sadly preceding in death by father, John Paul, mother, Louise Paul, sister Lila Young, brother John Paul, William (Billie) Boulware, Rosevelt Hicklin, her son, Johnny Matthew Jackson and daughter, Leatha Faye Jackson.
Her strong, beautiful, elegant legacy will be left to be cherished by her loving brother, Lewis McCullough, son, Robert Jackson, (Bebee) daughter, Nevada Jackson, and forever companion, Bermell Louise J Pinnix, sons, Dwight Douglas Jackson and William Paul Jackson, daughters, Annie Louise Jackson and Sandra Chapman Fisher; and host of grandchildren and great/great/great grandchildren who loved and cherished her for eternity.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held March 14, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, 1600 N. Centennial Street, High Point, NC.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.

To the Jackson family sorry for your loss I know your mama for a long time I know you going to miss her I miss her too
My mother was a strong yet beautiful and an Elegant dresser who loves her family very much. Her And my uncle always reminds me of Kitty and Mack Dillon in a loving yet comical way. Most of all she love our creator Jehovah who change her life and others who admire s. She will definitely be missed but my memories of my mother will always be remembered.
I thank Jehovah for being a tool in his hands in providing the loving care you deserved and needed. I cherished the moments we spent laughing, working in the ministry, shopping, sharing a meal and more than anything attending conventions, assemblies and meetings. Jehovah put you as a role model for me to follow and motivation to keep serving him despite the difficulties, the needed energy and strength everyday to endure no matter the hardships and disappointments. I will truly miss you but Jehovah will fill the emptiness I feel deep inside. I wake up every morning looking forward to the times when I can hold you in my arms once again and witness Jehovah's almighty power when his son, Jesus will say Annie come Out!!!!!! Your loving daughter and companion BJ. "May Jehovah do so to me and add to it if anything but death should separate me from you." (Ruth 1:17)
