Ariyanna Mackenzie Gory,1, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025 at her residence.
Ariyanna Mackenzie Gory was born in Guilford County on August 9, 2023, to Amya Ray and Moussa Gory. She gained her angel wings on Sunday, January 26, 2025.
Ariyanna, our beloved daughter, granddaughter, and great-granddaughter, was a very lively and vibrant child, full of energy that seemed to radiate in every direction.
Her curiosity often drew her to the windows, where she could gaze out wide-eyed, taking in the world around her. She loved the thrill of walking around the house, jumping playfully on the bed, and watching the colorful antics of Ms. Rachel on her television. Ariyanna's time with Aunt Shay was filled with laughter and imaginative play, where the two would create magical worlds together. Yet, the moments she cherished most were spent with her mom and dad.
Ariyana and her mom enjoyed snacks together, such as candy and cheese, while her mom read stories to her, teaching her new words through illustrations of animals. With her dad, Ariyanna found joy in simple pleasures riding, eating, and having conversations from the back seat as they drove to drop Mom off at work, every moment was a cherished adventure that strengthened their bond.
Left to cherish her memories are her mother of seventeen months. Amya Ray and her father, Moussa Gory; grandparents, Christina, Mike, Kathy Gory, Simbala Gory, and Anthony Ray; great grandparents, Teresa Ray, Retha, and James Benjamin; aunts, Jasmine Brown McLaurin, Shaiona Ray, and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and loved ones.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
