Cynthia Michelle Archie, 51, transitioned peacefully from this earthly life on June 26, 2026 at Hospice Home at High Point. She was born on July 12, 1974 in High Point, NC, to the late Virginia Peak and James Archie. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, and two uncles, Eddie Peak and Willie Ray Abney.
Many of her friends affectionately knew her as “Chelle” or “Chelle Peak.” She graduated from T. Wingate Andrews High School, Class of 1994.
Chelle was a loving daughter, sister, mother, aunt, and friend whose kindness and compassion touched the lives of many. She never met a stranger to know her was to love her. She began working at an early age at McDonald’s and later dedicated over 20 years of service to Sunbridge Care & Rehabilitation in dietary, now known as Meridian Center, until her health began to decline.
Even on the days when she wasn’t feeling her best, she still found the strength to answer the phone just to check on you, listen to you, or make you laugh. That was simply who she was always putting others before herself. Above all, Chelle loved the Lord, and her faith was a source of strength and comfort throughout her life. She had a heart of gold and always made sure her family and friends were okay. If you needed something and she was able to help, she never hesitated she would do whatever she could for you. She loved her children with all her heart, and her love for her family and friends ran just as deep. She truly cherished family time because being together meant everything to her. Whether you were sharing stories, joking around, or just enjoying each other’s company, she always made sure there was laughter in the room. Her smile and sense of humor could brighten anyone’s day. She also had a forgiving spirit. She believed in giving grace, choosing love over holding grudges, and embracing those she cared about with an open heart. Her kindness, strength, and unconditional love are the memories we will carry with us forever. Though she is no longer with us, the impact she made on our lives will never fade.
Chelle has touched the lives of many and leaves behind to cherish her memory: two sons, O’Maury Archie of the home and Montrez Archie (Sameerah), both of High Point, NC; her stepmother, Caroline Archie of Greensboro, NC; five brothers, Michael Peak, James Peak (Carolyn), Tony Peak, all of High Point, NC, Jimmy Peak of Thomasville, NC, and Jeffrey Clinton of Greensboro, NC; two sisters, Charita Archie and Rasheda Bivins, both of High Point, NC; one stepbrother, Derrick Thompson of Raleigh, NC; one stepsister, Calesha Thompson of Greensboro, NC; one aunt, Patricia (George) Cameron of Lancaster, PA; and one uncle, Jerry (Dorothy) Archie of High Point, NC. Chelle was also a proud auntie of numerous nieces and nephews and a great-aunt as well. Along with two special nephews, Antonio and Jaylen Peak, both of High Point, NC. She also leaves behind special friends who held a very special place in her heart and were like family to her: Chune Ratliff, Michelle Morrison, Belinda Harrington, Elliot Justice, and Trina Cheek, along with a host of cousins and friends.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we take comfort in knowing that Chelle has completed her earthly journey and is now resting in the presence of the Lord. She will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.
Funeral service will be held Friday, July 10, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Guil-Rand Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.

My sympathy goes out to the Archie and Peak family, I hadn't seen Michelle in a while but every time I would see her she always spoke and share a hug. But I will always remember on Friday or Saturday night Ms Virginia would bring her and her brothers over to their granddaddy(RED PETE) house and me Tony and Joe Cherry and them would have the best time on EDMONDSON AND BROOKS ST that I will never forget.
