Mr. Demetrice Edward Lyons was born on March 16, 1974 in Tarboro, NC to Mary Louise Lyons and the late Harold Douglas Evans. He transitioned to his new home on June 3, 2023 at the Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont, Florida; he was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Courtney Lyons; his grannies, Edna McMurry and Catherine Horton preceded him in death.
Demetrice received his diploma from Southern Guilford High School in Greensboro, NC while living with his late grandmother, Edna McMurry Evans and dad. He attended Rescue Temple COGIC#2 for many years. He worked several jobs until he found the love of his life- working at K&W Cafeteria in High Point, NC where his bubbly personality attracted many friends with the kindness and courtesy, he showed to every person entering the doors. He moved to Orlando, FL four years ago and fell in love with the place! He loved people and would lend a helping hand whenever needed!
Demetrice leave to mourn his loss, his mother, Mary Louise Lyons of High Point, NC; his sister, Mrs. Leslie Alexander Booth of Harrisburg, PA; his nephews Isaiah and Tyreik Lyons; aunts, Victoria “Tink” Lyons of High Point, NC and Joan Evans Walden of Greensboro, NC; along with his dad, two grandmothers, and paternal Aunt Joan who spoiled him rotten; aunts, uncles and a host of cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. We shall meet again! Rest in Jesus.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday June 14, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel.

Rest well baby, you worked with my daughter Ashley at K&W, the day I met you I thought you were an amazing young man, when ever she would call me from work you would always say hey Ma, you were a encourager you had mad love for everyone you knew, I pray you knew how loved you were. You use to buy me the best donuts I ever had and you would send them to by Ashley.God knows you will surely be missed.
