Obituary For Evelyn Garrison

Evelyn Yvonne Morris Garrison was born July 22, 1958 in High Point, NC, a daughter of the late Mrs. Martha Little Morris. She peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 7, 2021, with her family by her side. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Glen Morris and Billy Morris; one niece, Teresa Harris; her mother-in-law, Ms. Robbie Garrison.

Evelyn attended High Point City Schools. She started working at an early age at Silver Knit Hosiery for 20+ years. She was also employed with Unfi and Cone Mills as a knitter and loved the work she did for over 40 years.

Evelyn leaves to cherish her memories, her loving husband of eighteen years, Ronald Garrison; her daughter, Regina Morris (John) of High Point, NC; her son, Levi Williams, Jr. (Rikkia) of High Point, NC; two grandchildren, Kedric Tanner and Camille Williams; three stepchildren, Amanda (Obe) Adebiyi, Shannon (Vincent) Weathers and Ronnie Carter; seven step grandchildren; four sisters, Lynda Morris, Marcella Stephens, Sylvia M. Jones (Dennis) and Rosa (Dewey) Harris; twin brothers, Ronald and Donald Morris, all of High Point, NC; fourteen nieces and nephews; thirty-two great-nieces and great-nephews; a host of cousins and other relatives and friends.

A private funeral service will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens. Mrs. Garrison may be viewed on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Phillips Funeral Service from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
