Mr. Frankie Carl Howell departed this life on Tuesday, October 19, 2021, in Fort Worth, Texas. Affectionately called "Frankie C", he was born July 2, 1949, in York County, South Carolina to the late Guinell Simmons and James Thomas Howell, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Henry and Mabel Childress; stepfather, Large Hill; brother, James Thomas Howell, Jr.; and sisters, Mabel Farmer and Annie Howell.
Frankie graduated from William Penn High School in the class of 1968. He enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served for 20 years. After the military, Frankie worked with the United States Postal Service in Fort Worth, Texas for 17 years until his retirement.
He leaves to cherish his memories, daughters, Felicia Howell of Houston, Texas, Brittany Johnson of Arlington, Texas; son, Kevin Howell (Cynthia Howell, mother) of Houston, Texas; sisters, Betty McLean, Hattie Hill, and Janet Graham all of High Point, North Carolina; brother Jerry Hill (Octavia) of Fayetteville, North Carolina; stepdaughter, Tasha Kendrick (Terri Kendrick, mother) of Fort Worth, Texas; four grandchildren, Nicholas Howell, Tyriah Allen, Tyler Allen, and Kevin Howell, Jr.; and one great-grandchild, Kendall Carter of Houston, Texas; a devoted niece, Owennetta Hamrick (Jewel) and Jewel "Jay Arthur" Hamrick of Cypress, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
