Mr. Angelo Michell Anthony, 62, of High Point, NC, peacefully departed from this earth on July 31, 2026, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital.
Born on September 16, 1963, Angelo was the cherished son of Troy Anthony and Carol Headen Anthony, both of High Point. Growing up, he developed a deep love for music, a passion that blossomed at T. Wingate Andrews High School where he played both the clarinet and the French horn in the school band. Angelo went on to attend Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, NC, where his strong work ethic earned him a spot on the Dean’s List. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. While in college, Angelo was a proud member of the Organization of Ebony Students, dedicating himself to promoting cultural awareness, unity, and leadership.
A man of diverse talents and passions, Angelo was an artist at heart. He owned several instruments and found great joy in playing the guitar. He was also a gifted upholsterer and an amazing, self-taught sewist capable of recreating any design just by looking at it. His discipline extended to martial arts, where he achieved a second degree black belt. Angelo took great pride in his health, frequently staying active at the local gym, bodybuilding, and training others to achieve their personal goals. His favorite saying was “Live the life, speak the word, love the people”
Angelo is survived, by his loving wife, Brenda Anthony; his parents, Troy Anthony and Carol Headen Anthony of High Point, NC; brother-in-law, Carl Lindsay, of Aurora, Colorado; sister-in-law Sandra Foust of Greensboro, NC; brother, Troy Anthony Jr. of High Point, NC; sisters, Sherry Anthony, of High Point, NC, and Joyce Sawyer of West Haven, Connecticut; he also leaves behind nieces, Aliyah Anthony and Talana Watkins; nephew, Kentrail Anthony; great-nephews, Jayceon Covington, Keilyn Anthony, Nakylo Anthony, and Ju’quontai Pegram; as well as a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins who will always remember his creativity, sharp intellect, and vibrant spirit.
