Antino Terence Bowden, affectionately known to all as “Tino,” passed away and entered into eternal rest on May 21, 2026, at the age of 49.
Antino was born on May 9, 1977, in Charlotte, North Carolina, to Barbara Ewings Bowden and Terry Lee Bowden. Tino began his school journey in West Haven, Connecticut. He later received his primary education through the Richmond County Public Schools and proudly graduated from Richmond Senior High School, Rockingham, NC. Tino was incredibly well known around his high school campus. He was truly one of a kind, blessed with a warm personality and an unforgettable, affectionate smile that lit up every room he entered. Believing firmly in self-improvement, Tino later moved to New Haven, Connecticut, to attend the Data Institute. His dedication to his studies in the Dental Assistant program earned him a well-deserved place on the Dean’s List twice.
In 2005, Tino began working as a cook in the cafeteria shared by the ASSA ABLOY and Sargent Manufacturing offices in New Haven, Connecticut. Known for his strong work ethic and drive, he eagerly jumped at the opportunity when a Plating Operator position opened up within the manufacturing division. By 2015, Tino’s sharp technical skills led to his promotion as a Mechanical Support Representative for the Sargent brand. In this role, he handled technical phone inquiries, carried out field site visits, and supported customers and sales representatives. Tino deeply loved what he did, and the company loved him back. He cherished the tight-knit relationships he built with everyone at ASSA ABLOY, where his coworkers truly became family. Tino made sure that there was no question about getting the job done right the first time around.
Tino will always be remembered as a deeply loving son, brother, nephew, uncle, and devoted friend. His presence and radiant smile brought warmth to everyone around him, and his precious memories will be forever cherished. He is survived by his loving parents, Barbara Ewings Bowden of High Point, NC, and Terry Lee Bowden of New Haven, CT; his sister, Antigone (Tony) Little of Greensboro, NC; and his brothers, Michael Stanback of Mt. Gilead, NC, Antonia(Tony) Ewings of Charlotte, NC, Terry Bowden of Meriden, CT, Terrill Perry Bowden of New Haven, CT, Antonio Horton of New Haven, CT, and Devanta Bowden of New Britain, CT.
Tino leaves behind a very special, devoted lady of 20 years, Brandi Riley, who stood faithfully by his side until the very end; and his mother's-in-love, Rhonda Nelson Sheffield and Sandra Tillman. He is also survived by his special nephew and niece, Chase and Izonnah; three cherished godchildren, Aldric, Miya, and Latrell; and a close-knit group of family and friends who held a central place in his life, including Jeanette Tillman (cousin), Mario Ewings and Jamie Ewing(cousin), Diaz Baldwin (cousin), George Ewings (uncle),Ronnie Baldwin, Ben Godwin and Rodney Turner, along with a host of beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, extended relatives, and dear friends.
