Arthur Lee Brown, 74, entered eternal rest on January 27, 2026, at his home, surrounded by the love of his family. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Mary (Sister) Christian and Jeanette Meachum.
Arthur was born on May 30, 1951, in Bennettsville, SC. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and family man whose quiet strength and steady presence were a blessing to all who knew him. Arthur lived a life marked by faithfulness, humility, and love—expressed more through his actions than his words.
He was employed with Leggett & Platt for many years before retiring due to illness. Even in retirement, his dedication to his family never wavered. Arthur found joy in the simple things in life, especially fishing, and treasured the time spent with those he loved most.
He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife of over 42 years, Ellen B. Brown, of the home; one son, Keith McInnis Sr. of Greensboro, NC; two daughters, Pastor Cassandra B. Durham of Burlington, NC, and Tonya Crouch of the home; three aunts, Bonnie Kirby High Point, NC, Evelyn Brown and Martha Mae Harrington of New Jersey; ten grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren, who were a constant source of joy and pride. He also leaves to mourn his passing siblings, Mary (Jerry) McNeil, Corine (Charles) McLeod, Burnise (Vivian) Brown, James (Farry) Brown, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. His best friends Steve and David.
Arthur Lee Brown lived a life of quiet faith, steady love, and enduring commitment to his family. Though he has transitioned from this earthly life, his legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the love he leaves behind.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
