Obituary For Mr. Carlton Thomas

Carlton Thomas the son of the late Coach and Annie Thomas, II, was born September 23, 1954 in Donalsonville, GA. Carlton was preceded in death by six sisters, Verdell Thomas, Mildred Black, Veria Manley, Elnora Tolbert, Eloise Tisdale and Shirley Thomas; two brothers, Coach Thomas III and Larry Thomas.

Carlton confessed Christ at Temple Memorial Baptist Church High Point, NC where he was a member of the hospitality committee and male choir.

Carlton attended the public school system in Miller County (Colquitt GA and then later Seminole County (Donalsonville GA).

Carlton loved the Dallas Cowboys where he attended his first NFL game against the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte, NC (Cowboys won he was so happy). Carlton LOVED Micheal Jackson and the gospel group, “The Williams Brothers”.

Carlton is survived by three sisters, Cathelene Register of Donalsonville, GA, Evelyn Thomas and Marie Thomas-Reynolds (Roger) of High Point, NC; two brothers, Luredell Thomas of Ft. Worth, TX and Tony Thomas of Orange Park, FL; two special nieces, Taschika Reynolds of King George Va, and Makenna Best of Winston Salem NC; one sister-in-law, Regina Thomas of Falls Church VA; two brothers-in-law, Charles Tolbert of Jakin, GA. and Richard Tisdale of Toms River, NJ; and a host of other relatives and sorrowing friends.

A tribute of Love will be held Saturday, June 7, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Long Missionary Baptist Church, 557 Helms Road, Colquitt, GA. 39837. Interment will follow at Oak Long Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
