Charles “Chet” Richardson, Jr. was born February 15, 1960 in Philadelphia, PA to Norma Richardson-Gray and the late Charles Richardson, Sr. The Lord called him home on Thursday evening, June 11, 2021.
Charles began his education in Philadelphia, PA at an early age. He was a graduate of T. Wingate Andrews High School, Class of 1978. Charles attended Elon University and also served an enlistment in the United States Navy.
Charles accepted Christ in his life and was a devoted member of Word of Life Tabernacle Church. He was an outstanding leader to all that met him, and a loving, nurturing big brother, father, uncle, paw-paw, son and friend.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Joshua Leach, Taylor Richardson and Toccoa Richardson, all of High Point, NC and Devona Hodge of Raleigh, NC; his grandchildren; his loving and devoted mother, Norma Richardson-Gray of High Point, NC; brothers, Leslie Richardson of Greensboro, NC and Michael Richardson of High Point, NC; sisters, Erica Richardson and Chansela Richardson, both of Atlanta, GA; and a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 18, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
