Obituary For Mr. Eric Laborn Morrison, Jr.
Mr. Eric Laborn Morrison Jr. departed this earthy life on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. He was born to Eric Morrison, Sr., and Donna Borders Morrison on March 9, 1990, in High Point, NC. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Matthew Borders and Nancy Borders, and his parental grandfather, Alexander Smith.
Eric graduated from Ragsdale High School in 2008. He began working at FedEx Freight on March 22, 2010. His friendly and outgoing personality made him a beloved colleague and friend to many. Eric was also a member of Williams Memorial CME Church, High Point, NC.
Eric had a strong passion for sports. He played in Little League, junior varsity, and varsity football teams. During his football years, he was known to many as FUBU and was an advocate Denver Broncos fan. He also received training in Taekwondo when he was younger and won numerous trophies. Eric enjoyed spending time with his close friends Lamar, Corbin, and Charles and his cousins Josh and Brittney. He will always be remembered for his smile. He was a true inspiration to everyone who knew him. We miss him dearly, but we know that his memories will live on in the hearts of everyone he touched.
Leaving to cherish his memory are his mother and father, Eric and Donna Morrison of the home; his paternal grandmother, Vivian Morrison; aunts, Regina Douglas (Mark), Veatress Morrison, and Carolyn Hunter, all of High Point, NC; Debra Cross (Curtis) of Dover Delaware; Debra Thomas of Monroe, NC; Evon Leland and Chandra Smith both of South Carolina; his uncle, Alexander Smith Jr.; special cousins, Josh and Brittney Cheek, Jimmy Kennedy Jr., and Deonta Morrison, and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday, January 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Williams Memorial CME Church, 3400 Triangle Lake Road. Interment will follow at Carolina Biblical Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
