Mr. Frank Wrenrick Turner, Sr. was born on June 28, 1935, as the fourth child of Cornelius W. and Annis G. Turner. Our beloved husband and father transitioned into Heaven on Sunday, November 3, 2024 at The Hospice Home of High Point.
Frank attended High Point schools for his early education. He graduated from William Penn High School where he played football and was drum major. After attending Fayetteville State University for two years, he enlisted in the United States Navy.
Frank married his long-time crush, Cora Lee Baker. They were husband, wife and best friends for 64 years.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife Cora; two children, Adrienne Turner and Frank W. Turner, Jr. (Ricky); there is also a host of grands, great- grands, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Greater First United Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.

Our deepest condolences to the family of Frank W. Turner. We are so sad to hear about his passing. Our parents Everette and Sue Tyson, were close friends with Cora & Frank. They all went to school together. I remember him well. He was kind and always friendly. The Turner's would come to our house, and bring Adrianne & Ricky to play with us. My parents had five girls, so Ricky felt out numbered, but Adrianne would jump right in and play "Barbie's" with us and we'd have the best time. Even though we're here in California. Our Love and Prayers are with you all. May GOD provide the family with love, strength and all of the comfort; they will need during this difficult time of bereavement. Many blessings from The Tyson's: Deloris Sue Tyson, Renee Jennings, Deneen Tyson, Anita T. Spence & Annette T. Chavez.
Sending our prayers and love to Mrs. Cora, Adrienne, Ricky and the entire family during this difficult time. May God comfort you now and in the days to come. We love you all!β€οΈππΎ The Nance & Pegues Families
