Mr. Fred “Bo” Quick, Jr. transitioned from his earthly home on May 5, 2020 at WFBH High Point Medical Center. Fred was born on April 1, 1945 to the late Fred Quick, Sr. and Elease Brockington Quick.
He attended William Penn High School. After high school he worked as a machine operator at Fiber Dynamics. Later he began his own business FJ Maintenance and Janitorial for over 30 years. There was never a job he could not do, and he never met a stranger.
Fred attended Solid Rock Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Alphonso Martin. Over the years, he led a full Christian Life and was loved by all.
He leaves to celebrate his life, his children, Linda Thomas, Rodney Quick, Steven (Ervette) Quick, Frederick Quick, Barbara Quick, Brian Quick, Ashley Littlejohn, Michelle Littlejohn, Adrian Littlejohn, Bianca Littlejohn, Ruby Parker and Tim Parker; one brother, Daniel (Julia) Quick; special friends, Angie Scales and Sam Morgan who he considered as a brother; seventeen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relative and friends.
A private graveside service will be held Monday, May 11, 2020 at Oakwood Memorial Park. There will be no public viewing.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
Crying right now because I just found out about Fred passing two days ago by his youngest daughter.I met Mr.Quick April,2009 & remained friends every since he also knew my Grandfather Willie E.Middlebrooks as well as my Uncles. I seen Fred in April on Washington Street I NEVER KNEW THAT WOULD BE MY LAST TIME SEEING HIM.GOD SPEED ON THE HEALING OF EVERYONE'S HEARTS WHILE THERE GOING THROUGH THIS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TIME.
