Mr. Harold Calvin Kirk Harold Calvin Kirkpatrick entered eternal rest on January 25, 2026. Harold also known as Carlvan, was born and raised in High Point, NC by his mother, the late Louvenia Isaac. Carlvan was preceded in death by his mother, Louvenia Issac; sons, Everette Brown and Melvin Glasgow (Dooney); uncles, James, Fred, Robert, Charles, and Ellison/Frank Kirkpatrick; aunts, Betty Lou Bennett and Mary Barrier.
Carlvan attended William Penn High School where he participated in the band and sports. He often participated in company sports leagues such as basketball and softball.
Carlvan later met Sibyl/Sylvia Brockman Kirkpatrick, the love of his life in 1976 nearly 50 years ago and joined her to help raise Chris and Kisha who were only 2 and 1 years of age as his own children. Then later birth Calvin and Tam out of their union. Carlvan was a hardworking man and always sacrificed for his family.
He worked for the Lilly Company which later became Valspar until retirement. One of his favorite hobbies was shooting pool and he was great at it. Carlvan enjoyed dancing, listening to music and being in the presence of family and friends until his health declined. Carlvan believed in providing for his family and often lending to friends and others. He was a well-respected man, often giving great advice to those who knew him. Carlvan will truly be missed but never forgotten.
Those who will cherish his memories is his loving wife and caregiver, Sibyl Kirkpatrick of the home; children, Harold (Joan) Kirkpatrick Jr. of Alabama, Teresa Dyous of Georgia, Christopher Brockman of Greensboro, NC, Nekisha (Billy) Brockman Steele, Tremayne (Calvin) Kirkpatrick, and Tamatha Kirkpatrick of High Point, NC; thirteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; siblings, Harry (June) Isaac, Cynthia Isaac, Ronald (Debbie) Isaac, and Phylis Kirkpatrick; one aunt, Bertha Purcell of Fayetteville, NC; mother-in-law, Lottie Brockman; brothers-in-law, Darrell Brockman, John Brockman, Terry (Marjorie) Rorie; and special brother-in-law, Jerry Brockman; sister-in-law, Colleen (Robert Kool) Patterson; special son-in-law who was like a son, Billy Steele; special nephew, Alton (Anique) Barnes; special cousin, Mary Ann Jackson of Greensboro, NC a host of other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
