Mr. Horace Marshall, 77, a loving brother, father, grandfather, and uncle, transitioned from this earthly life on May 11, 2024, at Meridian Center, High Point, NC. He was born to the late James and Mary Sellers Marshall on March 11, 1947, in Morven, NC.
Horace grew up in Candor, NC, which allowed him to refine his skills as a hardworking and dedicated farmer. In 1976, he relocated to High Point, North Carolina, where he cared for his father, demonstrating his unwavering commitment to family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Lilly Diggs, Virginia Capel, and Jennie B. Smith, and one brother, J.B. (Ned) Marshall.
He leaves to cherish his memories one son, Charles Wall of Southern Pines, NC; five grandchildren; two sisters, Emma McLeod of Sanford, NC and Eva Bennett of Raleigh, NC; two brothers, Johnny Marshall of the home and James T. Marshall (Maria) of High Point, NC. He also leaves behind a special niece, Tonya Marshall of High Point, NC, brothers-in-law, John West Capel and Jim Smith; sister-in-law, Deb Marshall; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 1:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
