Obituary For Mr. John Edward Alford
Mr. John Edward Alford departed his life on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 after a brief illness. He was born on April 19, 1962 in McColl, SC to the late Norien Alford and John Alford, Jr. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Willie Alford and David Alford; one sister, Mary Ann Covington.
John earned his education with the public schools of Marlboro County, SC. He was employed with GTCC in High Point, NC as a Janitor for many years until his health started to decline.
John leaves to cherish his memories; one brother, Shawn Alford of Dillon, SC; two sister, Dorthy Leach of Baltimore, MD; and Lorene Washington of McColl, SC; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
John will truly be missed by family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.
