Obituary For Mr. Kenny Ray Terry, Jr.
Kenny Ray Terry, Jr., affectionately called “KT” by family and friends, was born on May 31, 1991. He passed away at age 35 on September 22, 2026, in High Point, NC.
Kenny was born in High Point, North Carolina, and maintained a strong bond with his family throughout his life. He attended A&T State University and held various jobs that showcased his diverse skills and talents. Most recently, he worked at Thomas Built Buses. Dedicated to his goal of becoming a tattoo artist, he took on additional responsibilities and apprenticed at his favorite shop, Roll n Stone Tattoo.
Kenny enjoyed playing Xbox and PC games, often spending free time with lifelong friends. He was rarely alone, always surrounded by people he cared about and who cared about him. He cherished time spent with his children, seeing them as part of himself and always wanting the best for them. Kenny is irreplaceable and will be deeply missed.
Kenny was preceded in death by his mother, Tabatha Michelle Ewings, and his grandmother, Curliee Wright.
Left to cherish his memory are his companion, Raneesha Rollins; his daughter, McKenzie Terry; and his son, Ash “Bubba” Terry. He is also remembered by his sister, Turquoise Ewings, and his brother, Antonio Banks; his grandmother, Margaret Froneberger, and his grandfather, Roland Froneberger; his two special uncles, Chio Sheppard and Bishop Tanny Wright Jr.; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who made up his family and will cherish his memory
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m.
Final arrangements are entrusted to Phillips Funeral Service, Inc.

Kenny, I honestly don't even know how to put this into words. You were one of those people who could walk into a room and instantly change the entire energy. Your laugh, your personality, your love, your presence... unmatched. You loved people so loudly and genuinely. It's almost impossible to understand that you're gone.
You're going to be so missed by every life you touched. I'm grateful for every memory, every laugh, and every moment I got to know you. You were truly a one of a kind person. My deepest condolences to the Family,My Kids and My Bonus Kids. When I received the news of your passing, I was so lost,Trelle and my cousin had to tell me multiple times. I then had to go see for myself! My heart is broken again, I won't get those beep beep after you get off of work. Nor the anytime you stop by just to tell me you loved me. You was on my mind so heavy, I didn't get a reply back to our morning inspirational message.You became my bonus son at the age of 13, and after your mother passing when you was 15. I was thankful that your Grandmother and Grandfather allowed me the opportunity of having you as one of my Sons. Kenny,you broke our hearts even more than what they were.
