Minister Printist H. Cash, Sr., affectionately known to many as Hubert, was born on July 5, 1936, in Morven, NC (Anson County), to the late Huss Cash and Beatrice Cason Cash. On June 12, 2026, he peacefully transitioned from labor to reward at his residence, surrounded by the love of family and the grace of God. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara Cash; seven brothers, Jaehue Cash, Johnny Bruce Cash, Clinton Cash, Henry Eugene Cash, Milton Cash, Joe Nathan Cash, and Elmer Cash; two sisters, Thelma Cash and Carrie Mae Flowers; and two grandchildren, Erica Cash and Corwin “CJ” Cash. Minister Cash received his education in Anson County, North Carolina. He later made High Point, North Carolina, his home, where he lived for most of his life. In 1955, he married the love of his life, Barbara Cash. Their union was blessed with four children, three sons and one daughter—who were his greatest blessings, and he cherished them with a love that knew no bounds.
After many years of dedicated service, he retired in 2003 from High Point Regional Hospital. Known to many as Hubert, he faithfully served others with grace, kindness, and an unwavering smile. He often remarked, “It’s really a ministry.” Anyone who knew him would agree that he performed every task with excellence, serving each meal tray with genuine joy and a servant’s heart. His commitment to people reflected the love of Christ that lived within him.
Minister Cash was a faithful member of Kings Chapel Holiness Church for more than fifty years, where he served diligently in numerous capacities, including Sunday School Teacher, Deacon Board member, Trustee Board member, Finance Committee member, and many other areas of ministry. For the past nineteen years, he was a devoted member of Bethel Apostolic Temple, serving faithfully under the leadership of his son, Suffragan Bishop Kelvin M. Cash. Music was one of his greatest passions. Widely recognized as an exceptional lead guitar player, he began playing at an early age and spent a lifetime sharing his gift. Through his talent, patience, and dedication, he inspired countless musicians and taught many others how to play. His influence on gospel music and ministry will continue to resonate for generations to come.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his children: Printist H. Cash, Jr. (Trulus), Corwin Cash (Jenny), Vivian Cash Scott (Kevin), and Suffragan Bishop Kelvin M. Cash (Gail); ten grandchildren: Courtney Turner, Mackenzie Wallace (Laura), Diedra Cash, Tasha Debnam, Tameka Cash, Printist Cash III (Asia), Deyonna Joyce, Micah Welborn, Miriam Cash, and Madalie Cash; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Hattie Ingram and Dorothy Cash; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends, church family, and loved ones who will forever treasure his memory.
He was a devoted man of God who carried the word of God in his heart and lived out his faith each day. His love for the Lord was evident in the way he loved and cared for his family. He served as a remarkable example of what it means to lead with strength, compassion, and integrity. He demonstrated how a man faithfully covers his family and leaves a legacy of devotion, faith, and love that will inspire all who knew him.
“Well done, thou good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”— Matthew 25:23
“A life well lived, a servant well loved, and a legacy that will never be forgotten." 💙
