Rudolph Hunter departed this life on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at his residence. He was born on September 7, 1943, in Lancaster, SC, to John Hunter and Ruby Anthony Hunter. In addition to his parent, Rudolph was preceded in death by two grandsons, Rozario Ammadentria Cave and Lewis Jakim Frazier; three sisters, Betty Spratt, Jackie Smith and Claudette Montgomery; three brothers, Lewis Hunter, Billy Joe Hunter and Bobby Gettie, and a close friend, Leroy Grier.
Rudolph moved to High Point at an early age, where he attended William Penn High School. He began working odd jobs to help support his siblings. Rudolph found his passion for work as an upholsterer for over 50 years. He would say, "I'm not the best, but I'm one of the best." Establishing his own business, C&M Upholster, Rudolph took pride in his work, ensuring every piece of furniture he built left customers happy and satisfied. Beyond his upholstery skills, Rudolph enjoyed working outside in his garden and building dog houses, among other things. If you drove by his house, you could always find him doing something in his yard. Over the years, everyone came to know him in one way or another. Rudolph was the type of person you'd never forget.
In 1970, Rudolph found the love of his life, Bessie Williams, and started to build a family. On October 15, 1976, they got married and had two children. For 54 years, Rudolph and Bessie have created many memories for the family to share.

Wall, Jr.; six daughters, Kimberly Bynum, Carmoletta Williams Douglas (Mike), Wathina Abass, Medina Williams Young (Grover), Fonday Key (Cedric) and Benith Long; three brothers, John Hunter, Jr., Norwood Hunter and Wilbert Hunter; one sister, Brenda Williams; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; special friend, Willie Phillip and a host of other relatives and friends.
