Stanley Elwood Howie departed this early life on Sunday, February 7, 2021. He was born on October 24, 1956 in High Point, NC to John and Pearl Taylor.
Stanley was known to family and friends as “Dusty or Stan”. He loved to take things apart and put them back together. He could fix anything that was broken. Stan loved to cook and clean, and could do just about anything. He could even do your hair if you needed him to!
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Pamela Williams and Kay Howie; and his life partner, Mary “Chris” Little.
Surviving to cherish his memories are daughter, Tracy C. Little; grandson, Zy’Coren Little, both of the home; one brother, Henry (Darlene) Taylor; sisters, Gail (Kevin) Hughes, Jenny (Patrick) Johnson, Sylvia (Nate) Purnell; aunts, Billie R. McNeil, Joyce (Hubert) Stricklin, and Bonnie (Pete) Boyce. A host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Mr. Howie may be viewed on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
