Mr. Stevie Alexander was born on January 27, 1953, in High Point, NC, to the late George Alexander and Margaret Kindle Alexander. On September 27, 2025, Stevie peacefully transitioned into eternal life. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved pets, Coco and Mufasa Alexander.
Stevie attended Ledford High School in Davidson County and later settled in High Point, NC. He began his working career at Braxton Culler and went on to join Thomas Built Buses, where he faithfully dedicated 35 years of service until his passing.
A true football enthusiast, Stevie proudly shared his love for the Dallas Cowboys with everyone around him. He was known for his quick wit and sense of humor, always ready with a joke to brighten the day. Stevie also had a deep love for music, maintaining an extensive collection that reflected his passion. His jovial spirit was contagious, and he never met a stranger. Before his health declined, Stevie especially enjoyed a good home-cooked meal—his favorite being beef tips over rice with pintos, light bread, and an ice-cold Coke.
Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 26 years, Creshendle Dorsette Alexander; he is also survived by his daughter, T’Yawn Chisem of Kernersville, NC; two stepsons, Joshua Dorsette of Durham, NC, and Jason Dorsette of Salem,OR; three sisters, Brenda (Elmore) Graham of High Point, NC, Gloria (Norman) Elliott of Whitsett, NC, and Watina Clark of Greensboro, NC; and three brothers, Rodney Alexander of Baltimore, MD, Reginald (Lynn) Alexander of Greensboro, NC, and Rickey (Mitchelene) Alexander of High Point, NC; Stevie’s legacy also lives on through his grandchildren, Brittany Chisem, Bianaca Williams, and Braylon Jones; his great-grandson, Bentley Lovette Chisem; and his bonus son, Darius Alexander; he leaves behind a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends who will continue to honor his legacy of love, laughter, and faithfulness.
“Well done, thou good and faithful servant… enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.” – Matthew 25:21

Goodbye for now to Steve, my longtime friend who always wore a pleasant smile on his face...a smile which was transferable to the soul, the spirit, and the faces of others. Laughter came easily to that gentle giant and he was gifted by God with the supreme ability to lift my spirits, (and the spirits of others I'm sure,) with only a few kind words whenever I saw him in passing. May you rest in peace until that "Great Gettin' Up Mornin'" Steve. I pray that YAH will allow me to see you there, in Paradise. And to Mrs.Creshendle Alexander, the Children, Grandchildren, Siblings and all of your family members and friends, may YAH with you now and in the days and years to come, providing comfort & peace to your broken hearts & souls. May He KEEP you lifted up, and may He ease the pain that is within you as only He can. This is my prayer in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. With Love, Mel B. Jones

Neighbors for over 25yrs, Steve always had something to say to make you laugh. He would come thru in his truck riding Coco& Mufasa or playing his Parliament Funkadelic tooting the horn. I can still hear him call me ma'am President in his deep strong voice, saying cause you always trying to plan and orchestrate something. Both Steve and Shen have been great neighbors to Jordale and I, more like family. Steve you are GREATLY missed by us ALL!
